POTTERS WEEK AWAY 6TH - 10TH OCTOBER 2025

What a great time we had on our latest tour. This time we went off to Potters Resort in Hopton on Sea. All was booked through Tates tours from whom we received a good discount against booking direct. We all had bungalow style accommodation which proved comfortable and warm. Of course Potters offers an all inclusive package so all food and drinks were included. I found an added bonus was all the activities were free. Archery, segway, swimming, air rifle, golf pitch and put to name a few. Dunstable had also entered teams into the bowls competition which takes place every year on these dates. We all had varying degrees of success. It was a fabulous experience meeting great people and playing against teams from across the UK. Unfortunately June took a fall on our last night and had to be taken to the hospital. Turns out she has broken her left upper arm so she is wrapped up in a sling. Thanks to everyone who helped and to Lesley Goodman for accompanying her to A&E. Both Steve K and Colin T renewed their golf talents and Paul Goodman showed the whole camp his archery medals. Next stop Olympics. Staying with Paul - he managed to gather some fame in the theatre when dancing to the theme song "You sexy thing". You know what you did Paul! Lastly, I must mention everyone who went on the tour. It was all of you that made the trip special so give yourselves a big pat on the back for being an extraordinary group of people. Thanks to Lesley Goodman who got the tour off a piece of paper to reality. See you all again next year. Steve K.
