offers a warm welcome to all

We are a friendly Bowls Club and encourage new members to join. You do not need any special equipment apart from a pair of flat shoes/trainers, the rest we provide.

The game of Bowls can be played by any age group from 8 to 80+, and is open to both able bodied and less able bodied players.

INTERNAL GALA - 16TH AUGUST 2025

What a great day, the weather was kind, the members were on top form and the catering and bar staff cared for our every need. I believe everyone had a great time. The members were extremely generous and we had some lovely prizes for the raffle. We also had a Spider and a "guess the name" of a lamb competition all in all we made over £500 for the club and for the Altzheimers Charity. The Spider was won by Debbie. The runners up in the Gala were a beautifully turned out team of Pam, Sally and John (they didn't need any of the excuses adorned on their tee shirts). The overall winners were June, Kay and Peter. 

                 POTTEN END GALA - 9th August 2025

Lovely weather and a very enjoyable day spent at Potten End on Saturday. We had three teams entered and are pleased to say that one of our teams came into some prize money. Peter and Kay Hudgell, Brian Barfoot and a last minute entry of Sally Large (due to Verity Barfoot being unwell) came in third winning 3 out of the 4 games.

The day was organised extremely well and I believe everyone entering has a great time. We will definitely be sending a team next year, well done Potten End Bowls Club.
